The History of the 'Shoe

The Horseshoe Pub building has a long history in Hudson. It was built by F.D. Brigham in 1832 and occupied the lot next to the Town Hall on Main Street, according to the restaurant’s website. The building was moved before 1880 to its current location at 29 South St. It became the property of H.H. Mawhinney and Co., later Logan Shoe Co.

In 1980, the building was taken over by the Horseshoe Pub and Restaurant. The name was the result of one of the business partners being in the harness racing business. In 1984, the Pizzimento family bought out the partner. Nick and Paula Pizzimento now operate the business.

The 2018 Oktoberfest menu will be introduced at the restaurant in September. Visit http://www.horseshoepub.com for the exact date and additional information about menus, events and functions, and more.

Telephone (978) 568-1265 for more information. Connect on Facebook.

For website visitors, Horseshoe Pub and Restaurant offers a special e-coupon. Print it out and get it stamped each time you order a sandwich. After five sandwiches, you get the sixth one free.

The business is open during current road construction on South Street.

White recently represented the Horseshoe Pub and Restaurant at the annual Spirits of Hudson Food and Brewfest on Aug. 11.

Hudson is fast becoming known as a dining destination. The Horseshoe Pub and Restaurant holds bragging rights to being among the first of restaurants to hit the ground running.
