The Horseshoe Pub building was built by F. D. Brigham in 1832, and occupied the lot next to Town Hall, on Main Street in Hudson, MA. It was moved before 1880 to its present location on South Street, to make way for the construction of Jeff's Block, now the site of Bergson's. It became part of the property of H. H. Mawhinney and Company, later Logan Shoe Company, and was the home of one of the foreman and his family.
In 1980, the building was taken over by the Horseshoe Pub and Restaurant. It's name originated from the relationship with their partner, who was in the Harness Horse Racing business. In 1984, the Pizzimento family bought out their partner, and it's presently run by their son Nick Pizzimento, who took over in 1991.
